Self (broken), 2014

Overview

This is an experimental piece working with clay sculpture. The initial piece was to create a life-sized head as realistic as possible then continuously change the face to the most desired. This was to portray the idea of manipulating the face with the use of your own hands and plays with the idea of age-old question; if we could change anything about ourselves what would it be? Unfortunately, the clay head sculpture broke and the notion of not being pretty enough within physical appearance and not being good enough as an artist came into play.

This piece has now been disposed of.
